Alaska

Alaska discovered her abilities at a very young age. When she was just 8-years-old, there was another kid within her class that liked to bully her. She tried everything. Kill'em with kindness. Her teacher used to preach that day in and day out when it came to dealing with the 'meanies' in the world. She's tried that. Alaska even tried bringing the girl a piece of candy or soda to call a truce. But the other girl wouldn't have it. She would take it and then go right back to being a bully towards her.

Sitting alone on the play ground, the school bully approached her, shoving her onto the ground and began insulting her. The 'adults' weren't much help at this point and Alaska hadn't been given much guidance. They always said, 'kids will be kids. It'll toughen her up.' when talking to other teachers about the issue. Alaska had gotten to her boiling point. Or maybe we should say freezing-point. The other girl had went to throw a hit to the face, but Alaska had grabbed her hand and that's when the magic hit. Frozen. The girl's hand had frozen, causing it to crack before literally breaking.

Adults weren't sure what to make of it. Magic doesn't exist to them, so they figured out some story to help them sleep at night by giving this 'freak accident' a story that would make sense to the mundane. But Alaska knew the truth. And she used that truth to protect herself from there forward, practicing and trying desperately to harness it. While she's a witch of a strong, elemental power, all the woman wants to do now is be normal. Be a good person and forget about 'powers' or 'magic.'

But she'll never be normal.

Role playing is fun, and I've been a bit rusty as of late. I don't get to RP often, and I'd love to start something back up. However, you're going to have to be patient with me. I have a very busy life outside of the online community, and there are times where it could take days or weeks to respond. But eventually, I'll respond!
